Hi. I have had bad nerve damage in my lower left leg for several years

as a result of my neurosarc. The leg is always numb and is getting

worse, I have no strength at all. I cannot run or push off with my

left leg at all, can't walk on uneven ground, causes balance problems,

etc. Has anyone had and testing done to find out the extent of nerve

damage? I have an appointment scheduled for this kind of testing this

wednesday morning. Please if anyone can tell me anything about this it

would be helpful to me. Thanks!

I have had the nerve conduction studies and also MRI's of both

knees. The nerve conduction study showed Peroneal nerve damage and

the MRI showed an enlarged peroneal nerve... Dr kept repeating the

nerve test in my outer toes and that was a bit uncomfortable to have

it done over and over but it was manageable. MRI's were just long

and I don't do well in confined spaces. I have all the symptoms you

had listed however my Rheumatologist only talks about neurosarcoid

and won't confirm it. They say I have multisystem Sarcoidosis. He

has never treated Sarcoidosis with Remicade before so he is a little

lerry about doing it but I am still on for Weds.

Good luck

Joe, there are many good resources in the Links & Archives, which you will find at the bottom of each message, including this one. I know that with your difficulty typing, that's hard to do right now. Here are a couple of good sites. You can print out the info about testing & take it to your doctor.

This one is for PCPs (Primary Care Providers).

This is from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. You can print out info & also order a really great booklet that has resources for doctors. You can get one booklet for free.

Joe, I hope this helps.
