The leg is always numb and is getting worse, I have no strength at all. I cannot run or push off with my left leg at all, can't walk on uneven ground, causes balance problems, etc. Has anyone had and testing done to find out the extent of nerve damage? I have an appointment scheduled for this kind of testing this wednesday morning. Please if anyone can tell me anything about this it would be helpful to me. Thanks! Guest guest Posted May 15, 2006 Report Share Posted May 15, 2006 Claude, I just went through a nerve conduction study of my arms and legs. It wasn't bad, they stick the electrode (like the ones for an EKG) on different areas on your legs from your toes to just above your knee. The little bit of voltage doesn't even bite as bad as a diabetic syringe. Your leg will jump but that's just reflex. The test took probably around 30 minutes. He also did a brain ct with & without contrast, and blood work including ACE levels.
