I doubt that being a mason will help at that hospital, but you may have some other options. My father is very high in the ish rite, and is somewhat active in the shriners. With your financial problems, maybe you should call the Shriners. You would have to go to there hospital, but they have been known to call in specialists to there hospitals to help. One of my fathers best friends is very high in the shriners, and has been very concerned of Gracies condition. He told us to tell anyone who needed them to let them know. They are very good and I am pretty sure they will help with transportation to there hospital. I do know they will never turn somebody down for financial reasons. I do not think they even charge for anything. I do not have a phone number, but you could call any Masonic temple or shriners hall, they will have a number for you. Good luck.

Hi,

We are seeing Shoffner in 2 weeks. Don't worry about cost of transportation or cost of staying there while you're there. You can get an Angel flight or another charity transport. Also, we are staying at the Mc House (which I think is like 10 dollars a night if you can pay it).

As far as getting in, you shouldn't have to wait once the financial stuff is figured out. Maybe a couple of weeks or so. Results they tell me take 8-12 weeks. Paying for the procedures is a different matter, I think. But, you can probably make a case to your insurance and (Shoffner's office will be helpful with this) that they are one of the few places in the country to do the fresh muscle tests. Hicks is the administrative assistant and she's SO nice. The phone number there is . They are in the process of moving their lab's location so you might not get to talk with them until after the 9th of January but then they are very good about helping you through the process.

If you have more questions for me, put my name on the subject list (anne R) and I will make sure to read it.

Good Luck.

Anne R
