Guest guest
One of the first tests run when Calley was admitted to the hospital at 3.5 weeks of age for FTT was a spinal tap, also a blood test and a urine test, all three showed elevated lactic acid levels, this was a major symptom for Calley along with hypotonia. Hope that helps. Happy New Year to everyone! Best Wishes, Colleen - Mom to Calley 6 (Mito - Complex IV, gtube, trach - decannulated 4/17/00) Dylan 11 & 15 What sort of results show up on a spinal tap, for mito? Thanks! Your response got me curious, so I went and looked up my son's LP results. His low result was for IgG/Alb, CSF. Normal is 0.9 - 2.5, and his was 0.8. So just a teeny bit low. Hmm - he also had a high result, for RBC, CSF. Normal for that is 0 - 1, but his says 223??? I didn't see that before - and apparently the nurse who read me the results over the phone didn't either. I need to find out what that means. Lynne
