Guest guest
Here's a story to give y'all a chuckle. Most of you know I've had my motor vehicle trials & tribulations the past couple of years (rear-ended someone a couple of years ago, totalled my car in a close encounter with a telephone pole last year, couple of scrapes at the fast food window, etc.). Well, my granddaughter just got her driver's license 2 weeks ago, after logging about 6000 miles on her learner's permit. One week after getting her license, we were in the drive thru at Fazoli's when some guy backed into the rear bumper. It only caused some scratches, but I filed a police report anyway because that happened to me a few years ago, let the person go without calling the police, and a couple of days later my bumper fell down. So I wasn't taking any chances. Of course, the other guy totally admitted fault, but Sam was still a nervous wreck. I had her call Carl, our wonderful insurance agent, to report it, just to give her the experience, and he told her to get a copy of the police report & bring it to the office this week. In Indiana you have to provide proof of insurance with any kind of accident, ticket, anything, even if you weren't at fault. So today we took the police report in & Carl greets Sam with "Hey, Crash, how are you?" She was quite indignant & said, "My Grandma crashes, I just got bumped!" So Carl now refers to us as "Crash & Bump." Sounds like a reality show, doesn't it? Well, actually, it is, I guess. Anyway, I'm going to get a photo of Sam & I on each side of my car, with crutches, splints, neck braces, etc. (I have a closet full of that stuff) & the Christmas tree (yeah, it's still here) sticking out of the hood. Carl will love it; maybe I can get a photo of him presenting a big check & put it into the picture! Wouldn't his district supervisor love it! I need to go to bed; I'm getting weirder by the minute. Good night, and good luck. Ramblin' Rose Moderator Save time by starting a search from any Web page with the MSN Search Toolbar-FREE!
