Guest guest
Debbie sorry to butt into the conversation, does the dr suggest coming off of any of the meds? or switching to some others maybe that wouldnt have the same side effect? do they make any suggestion? dont you find that side effects like fatigue from meds usually wear off after you first go on them or adjust a dosage?? so it wouldnt make sense to blame your fatigue now on meds youvve been on for a long time?? i am sleeping an average of eight and half hours a night to nine and half hours nad wake exhausted hardly able to move or lift my head, so sleep immediatly again when the kids leave 45 minutes later and sleep deeply for another five to six hours daily then wake because i have to. im up , i mean awake, for six hours .... and by the end of that time i am ready to cry literally from trying to communicate and interact with others, focus on things, etc. after that i am awake but in bed in what is really a type of sleep phase , though i have to stay awake because the kids arent in bed yet, but im fevered and in pain, and barely hanging on. every day goes like this. fatigue is as debilitiating as pain , fever, even seizures. i hope you get some other answers soon. we had a really pretty day outside here today, very srping like, i sat outside for awhile and felt like it gave me a little extra energy for a a little while. it was nice to be outside for a little while withoiut such a chill and without being so hot at the same time. i hoep you start feeling better soon. take care kim

Guest guest
Debbie, Is he the one who prescribed the medication? If so I would ask him for some options, I would not let him off the hook. How many meds are you on? I am on about 5 meds three of which could cause some bad side affects which would put your body in a state that would cause you to sleep all of the time. You know that your Kindneys and Liver are working overtime when taking all of these meds. Also your matabolism is slowed way down which cause your digestive system to also have to work overtime to digest your food. digesting your food is the most energy draining process in your system so when you systems slows down you are not getting the energy to drive your body that it needs to function properly and this becomes a vious cycle. That is why you are tire and sleeping all of the time. If at all possible I would do some type of colon clean that would help you to flush the waste out of your body I do a system called Colonix it is gentle on the body and gives you back energy as it removes the toxic that you are taking in as the medications that we take are toxic to our bodies. It helps to clean the lining of the walls of your intestines which help the nurtient to get into your organs. Also I would take some very potent suppliments as I do this also. I know that this would be very tough to do as it cost money to for these, but some how you need to counter act the negitive effects of the meds that you are taking. While they help to control the sarcoid some what the side affects by the meds are causing all of us to be tired and lathargic. I am going to write the companies that I get my colon cleanse and vitamins to see if they would be willing to give deep discounts to people that have chronic illnesses like us and are taking heavy doses of toxic medicines. If they would be willing to do this, this might help give you and all of us a better way of life. The Lord have blessed me so far and I have been able to afford these remedies to off set some of the gruelling effects these meds have on our bodies. I am sorry to hear of your frustrations and the non-caring and understanding doctor you have. That is like them telling us that we have to loose wieght when it is them that are giving us the drugs that causes us to become obesse. The funny thing there is I can eat less and exercies, and I don't lose a pound. Well we need to stick together and share ideas that have helped us and pass the things that are working on to others. Well, I need these medications for a reason or I wouldn't be on them, right? What would you do in my case? Deb, What meds are you on? I'm finding that I'm up against the same thing-- but I also know that i have to cut back on just one thing at a time, stabilize, then make the next move. I've been able to get my Neurontin down--by increasing my MSM. That and getting more fluids down, and cutting way WAY back on my sugars and salt intake. Start with giving me a list of what you're on. Maybe some of your meds are doing the same thing-- so you're getting to much CNS depression (not depression as in mental depression) but actually supressing your body chemistry. Guest guest
I went to my arthritis aqua class and I was actually falling asleep while doing the exercises in the water!! The instructor kept asking me if I was alright and it was very embarrasing. I will take your advice. I tried Centrum vitamins but they aren't helping. Thanks again. Debbie Debbie, If you had a septic tank, and were to pump it out-- you'd find those vitamins, still in their "special" coating. Our bodies can't digest the covering fast enough to get the "vitamins." If you choose to do the colonics-- do so with supervision. I'm in the middle of a process (ok, just starting) and it would be so easy to put myself into toxic shock. Start with the Milk Thistle tablets--use it with every glass of water you drink. That will start to help detox the liver. Read up or get a copy of the book GERSON THERAPY, BY Max Gerson. It's a great read--and makes tremendous sense. It's a hard diet to do-- but even small changes we make could make a huge difference. If you have a friend (someone that understands Naturopathy, Allopathy, Homeopathy) or a REALLY good health food store-- talk with them. REmember that small changes made slowly are best. any major change will bring your immune system into screaming frenzy-- and that means hyperoverdrive--and trouble. Hugs, Tracie

Guest guest
Tracie, maybe I am hallucinating, but I swear I read about that Gerson diet when I was a teen! I bought a book called "Death, be not Proud" at a school book store & must have read it 8 or 10 times. It was a true story about a teenage boy with a brain tumor. His parents were like many of us--researching & trying to talk doctors into trying different things. One of the things they tried was a special diet & I think it was the Gerson diet. Has it been around that long (40 years)? I think the boy got better for awhile on the diet, but ultimately he died. I haven't thought of that book for so many years, but when I read Gerson, it just clicked. Amazing things, our brains. Well, sometimes. Anyway, I may be off my rocker. Guest guest
Gerson has been around for 60 years. It's the typical story of the "cure", but at the same time, chemotherapy was being developed, and the drug companies had the lobbyists--and money to fund their stuff. .,
