Guest guest
Have you ever thought about the similarities between having sarcoid..... and a volcano? Like a volcano... once you have sarcoid it could remain dormant for years and never erupt,... could rumble on and off for years with a few minor eruptions,... or blast half the mountainside off in a major eruption and never look or act the same again. Volcanoes and sarcoid patients often look ok on the outside but underneath is alot of 'action'/inflammation and heat(and gas!...lol) building up. There's alot of action going on beneath the surface. Once they erupt there are alot of people running around not knowing what's going on or what to do. It often takes years or even decades to repair what was lost... if you even can. Noone can accurately predict when it will erupt again and to what degree or measure...or what to do about it. Once there is an eruption people tend to keep their distance from the affected area. They have to be reassured repeatedly that they are in no danger. I am sure there could also be comparisons made about the angry volcano and the angry sarc patient, too. You know...signs of when they're 'ready to blow'....lol. These are the sad mind-rumblings of a 'sarc-capable person' laying in bed in the dark for a week or more with a major headache. But the real question is...will she ever go back into dormancy?... or is she just building up steam again?...lol. miss mary volcano Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls.
