Guest guest
I am so sorry that you are running into such ignorant people! Mean, ignorant people. The nerve of that woman!!!! I have a nephew (non-blood-related) with adrenoleukodystrophy who is on an extremely low fat diet too and, my God, if someone did that to him - I can only imagine how angry you are!!! Time to put on your MFH t-shirt. Good luck, Anne R
Guest guest
I think the age 14 is the age where they start talking beyond school. We had our IEP today, and the teacher asked if Colby should still not have fats in his diet. I told her, as I have countless times, that he cannot breakdown the long chain fats, so yes keep him on a low fat diet. She then said, someone from the state board of education(they don'deserve capitalization), said she didn't see a doctors note on this. She told the cooks, to go ahead and feed him anything they want! And you think these people are their for the kids. So I don't know what they are feeding him. I called and turned her in, someone is going to contact me monday. Can you imagine an adult knowing that this was a major health issue, didn't care. Hell, (sorry) give him a plate of butter and throw some french fries, and maybe a large whole milk. I am so mad I told the principal he won't be back until I know he is in a safe envirorment. We just need his Dr. to attach a note to his IEP, which I know has been done, they have lost it. We have never had a problem in 11 years of being at school. I would like to pull him out of that rotten school. I'm sorry to vent on someonelses < is that a word, I don't think so> venting time. I hope you don't have any trouble God Bless mom to Colby,14,COXIV,LCHAD,ACC,ADHD ,hypothroidism and osteopenia.
