Guest guest
To all of our members, As you know-- we are a Group of almost 400 people from all over the world. There are people of every faith here in the group. One of the biggest challenges in any group is balance the issue of Faith and Christianity in particular-- as we are taught to "Share the Word." As American's we believe in our right to free speech. We do have the right to celebrate our faith, our freedom of speech, and our life. I am suggesting that we open a chat room so that those of you who want to share your faith with other members can do so. There are so many questions that come up with dealing with Chronic Illness-- that most of us have found a "higher power" to turn to in order to deal with issues. The group forum needs to deal with sarcoidosis, not with the newest conference we've been at. We do need to be able to share the challenges of our kids growing up-- and how that effects our illness. We need to share that we went to the MD, and once again-- had our concerns blown off as unimportant. We need to share our experiences in getting SSDI, Disability, Insurance, Medication, diet, exercise, breathing difficulties, and how to talk to our partners, husbands, kids, bosses, friends about what is happening to us. That is what this support group is for. We are not here to promote any form of religion, or to have to monitor time and again this subject. We need to respect that each person has a right to their own concept of faith or inner strength that they pull upon when faced with this health crisis we're in. We don't want to go back to having to monitor emails -- so please-- if you're wanting to discuss religion-- send it privately to those who are ok with that. (You'll need to ask them and if they say No-- respect that.) Thank you once again for understanding that the dynamics of such a huge group requires that we exercise some control over this topic--so that we continue to have a worldwide group where we can all learn from each other about this disease. Sincerely, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator
