Guest guest
Well, after a pretty normal day, Grace now has a fever of 101. It is amazing how her little body gets ill so fast. At this point I have no idea why she has the fever. She did vomit today but I think it was a reflux issue and not an illness, she was playing rough with her sisters right after dinner. My husband is ill so maybe she caught his thing, still I am just guessing. In an attempt to avoid a hospital stay this week, I am going to start giving her Pedialyte through her G tube and orally when she is awake. (She is usually very sleepy when her fever is up.) My question is how much is needed. She is about 30 pounds and almost 2 years old. Last time we did this I gave her 2 ounces, via g tube every other hour. I just really don't know how much is enough to maintain her. Also as a note I already gave her a big dose of Motrin to maintain it. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
