Guest guest Posted May 11, 2006 Report Share Posted May 11, 2006 , I have what I call bb's in different places, but the only large lumpy ones from sarc I have are in my (how do I put this delicately) breasts. Don't just blame them on sarc though, check with you doctor and make sure it's just the little critters. Where exactly on your calf are these lumps front side or back of the leg & knee, are they red or warm, and do they hurt? If they are on the backside of your calf, or if they are red, warm, or painful. Call your doctor right away, it's always better to be safe. Guest guest Posted May 13, 2006 Report Share Posted May 13, 2006 - Yes! I had them about 15 years ago before I had even heard of NS... Dang - I can't remember what they were called. They scared the begeebies out of me and I was sure I had cancer... But they were harmless nodules. Dang! What were they called!!!??? Oh! YEAH! Erythema Nodosum. They showed up one day and then got progressively worse. The doctor did a biopsy and they were fine. At the time, I had been on Weight Watchers and just about everything I ingested had NutraSweet in it. I had heard something about it on the radio, and when I cut out all the NutraSweet, they went away - no kidding. I don't know that that will be the case for you, but that's what happened. As a matter of fact, about two or three years later when we moved to PA, I had a flareup again, and, of course, I had gained weight so I was doing the diet stuff and NutraSweet. Again, as soon as I cut it out, it was gone. About three years ago my neurologist told me that Erythema Nodosum is one of the symptoms you get with NS, but he never really showed any concern - just an observation.
