Guest guest
Hi there. Yes we do have alot in common. I find that volunteering keeps my mind active and keeps me out of trouble..... ROFL....... After quitting my nursing job, I suffered from depression BIG time. It was awful. It was like a part of me died. I went through the grieving process for a long long time. I started volunteering at the domestic abuse shelter in 1999 while I was still practicing as a nurse, so I did have that to fall back on. Ya know, I keep singing this song, over and over again, " The Old Gray Mare, she ain't like she used to be " hahaha I just wish sometimes I was like the old me.. Ya know what I mean?? :-( I am having a bought with depression lately, I seem to cry at the drop of a hat, and things bother me more then they used to. GAWDDDDDD I love this FLIPPIN disease!!! NOT!!! Well speaking of volunteering, I gotta go for now, and get to work. I call that my work. When people ask me where I work, instead of telling them I am on disability, I say I work at CAASA. (Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault.) It just saves me alot of time of explaining my situation, and saves me the embarrassment also, cause as you know, HECK YOU Don't look sick, so you must be lying.. Yeah I have had that to deal with many times as well. {its not embarrassing, but I guess I don't know how to explain it, so I hope you know what I mean} Have a great day, and I am sure I will be gabbing at you more. Lots of hugs, from Iowa.
