Guest guest
Recent research is suggesting that it's the Vit D rather than the calcium that protects our bones. Also, some leading researchers say that just 15 min. outside a couple of times a week gives you enough Vit D from the sun; apparently the body uses the sun's Vit D more efficiently than supplements. Weight-bearing exercise is still important. Of course, the research may indicate something else next week. So I have to take a Vitamin D daily, same thing with my calcium, which explains why when I fall I've started breaking bones. Being a woman and going through the "M" word, you have to have some of these in your body, The problem is getting to much, wether it be from the sun or via tablet. Please make sure you check with you physician and make sure you're not robbing yourself, Or you'll end up like me with a broken ankle on one leg and a broken foot on the other.. The "Key" factor in all of this is moderation and balance. ~~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~~The Neurosarcoidosis CommunityNS CHAT:- Has been cancelled for now.Message Archives:-http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Neurosarcoidosis/messagesMembers Database:-Listings of locations, phone numbers, and instant messengers.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Neurosarcoidosis/database
