Guest guest
Which enzyme are you using from Kirkman? How long have you been using them? I am using the complete formula with my 3 (almost 4)year old daughter. She has been on the diet almost 8 months now. I started out using Houston enzymes, but since I order everything else from Kirkman I decided to give them a try. We have seen an increase in my daughters language and interacting with other children. Her stools are also formed, after 3 years of loose stools. Some on this board have seen positive results after a few weeks. I think I remember a couple different people posting it took as long as 8 weeks and then they saw changes. The main reason I am using the Kirkman enzymes is because it is a more complete formula (hence the name enzyme complete) in one capsule. You can get basically the same with purchasing both Houston's products. The Zyme Prime and the Peptizide. I didn't want the hassle of knowing which enzyme was which when I can get it all in one enzyme. Liz > Hey, I am new to this board. I am the Mother of a 2 year old little > boy with ASD. Guest guest
---My son is 11. I have him on Houston enzymes, they are specially formulated for gluten and casein. I am also chelating heavy metals, (mercury poisoning from vaccines and Mom's fillings) and find that I am able to let him have some gluten and casein without the effects he used to have. Guest guest
Hi I have only used Kirkman sample but son reacted wildly. We have been using HNI enzymes to be off the DIET for 13 months now. We have seen great improvements in health and behaviour, particularly normalisation of stools. HNI are specific whereas Kirkman is 'Complete'. But that is 'completely' without No Fenol. After starting on very high doses, being nervous of regression, gave us hyper for extended period - yeast die off. Plus we found it still wise to avoid MSG and Asapartame, we remain low sugar due to avoid yeast. Most recently we are using 1/2 cap of each Pep, Zyme & No Fenol, this is working well. HNI enzymes are the last supplement I would stop for my son who is 5 and on about 15 different things due to chelation. HTH Mandi in UK > Thanks Liz. Guest guest
Thanks Liz. I too am using the Kirkman's complete enzymes, but have heard that the types of enzymes differ between Kirkman's and Houston's. Guest guest
That is great! I have heard others saythe same thing. My son's gladiomorphine is outrageous, however his caseomorphine is below normal. Weird huh! I just haven't seen the results I had hoped for with Kirkman's enzymes and think I will give Houston's a try. Aren't they different enzymes all together? Thanks. > > Hey, I am new to this board. Guest guest
---The two biggest things that I did that changed my sons stools were fight yeast and bacteria and along with the Houston enzymes I started the no-fenol. I think it was the no-fenol in the end that was the icing on the cake for my son and his bowels. THey really straightened out wiht the addition of no-fenol. Just our experience. Guest guest
Hi Rosie I guess knowing what we know now (HNI were very new when we started) I think maybe go with HN-Zyme, starting gradually 1/4 cap or so one meal per day and work up slowly to cover all food and snacks. Any problems, post to the board, lots of experince here. Then I would do Pep and then add No Fenol unless your child has PST or phenol problems in which case I'd start with that. The idea is that Zyme is overall good digestive aid, usually well tolerated. Even strict CFGF people have seen further 'withdrawl' type symptoms with Pep, the same as you might have experinced with diet. This usually passes in three weeks or so. For us No Fenol has been like the icing on the cake - didn't even figure we had a fenol problem but we did notice when it went away! LOL Also we are chelating and Sam is prone to yeast, small regular doses are keeping yeast at bay - keep pinching myself, can't beleive the difference. Experince has shown posting to board to troubleshoot helps sort out any problems, posting your successes makes evrybody smile! Guest guest
Thanks so much for this info. I think you and others have managed to convince me to give HNI a try. We will see what happens. > Hi > I have only used Kirkman sample but son reacted wildly. We have been using > HNI enzymes to be off the DIET for 13 months now. Guest guest
Thanks Patti. I will try them. Did you recently hear about a prob with the No phenol? There was an article that had something negative about it and I am not sure what it was. I would like to try them, but just want to be certain it is safe. Thanks again for your info. > > > > Hey, I am new to this board. I am the Mother of a 2 year old > > > little > > > > boy with ASD. Guest guest
--, the article was written full of misinformation. It is so long and agravating I cannot go into it right now but but basically the person wrighting the article did not understand the mechanism behind the way no-fenol has worked. The article sais something to the effect that the no-fenol stopped the absorbtion of tyrosine but in fact it HELPS with the absorbtion of tyrosine. My son showed up deficient in tyrosine on his amino acids profile before starting no-fenol. I think he showed such great improvements on it because he was finally getting the tyrosine he so desperately needed. It is unfortunate but in this everchanging world of autism and its therapies there are some big names getting left behind and they are bitter about it hence the article. I feel completely confident giving no-fenol to my son, I wouldn't dream of NOT giving it to him. Patti - In @y..., " littlemansmom00 " <lauradriver@a...> wrote: > Thanks Patti. I will try them. Guest guest
Okay thanks Patti. I believe you are right in this as so many others have confirmed the same thing. I ordered both No Fenol, peptizyde and Zyme Prime last night. Are they pretty good about getting your order to you quickly? I am really anxious to get them started. Guest guest
--Yes I usually get mine in 3 days. I remember when I was waiting for my no-fenol delivery, I got the package in the mail and was so excited I ripped the box to shreds opening it! Guest guest
hi mandi, thanks for your e-mail, i live in hampshire near the coast. i must sound silly but how do you know if your child has phenol problems? and what is pst? sorry i but my friends who have asd children dont believe diet can help.so this group is going to help josie so much. also where do you order your medicines from? i have had her on efalex for 4 months now and have seen sucess in her concentration at school and home also her general understanding of speech has improved, would adding the hn-zyme etc be ok with the eflax? sorry for asking soooo many questions from rosie.
