Guest guest
Becky don't have much to offer you in the way of advice, but I wondered if Becky was on any stimulants for her ADHD...like Ritalan or Adderal? Those meds often make kids not eat and you might consider trying something like Concerta or Strattera which are not supposed to suppress appetite. Our middle son loses tons of wieght on stimulant and is not interested at all in food, so its just a thought. Welcome to the group...sorry you have to be here, but you will like the list members...everyone is super helpful! deb...mom to three great adopted kids... Guest guest
The first part of my message is for Bob. I am on a LTD from work. I was very fortunate the the company I worked for helped my get my short and long term disability going. My STD (short term disability not sexually transmitted disease) lasted three months, then I had to wait 3 more months (for a total of 6) and then I was eligible. I made sure I got all of my documentation to them and they were there to take care of me. I don't think it would be different if my first diagnosis was not MS but NS because they based their decision on symptomology not on the diagnosis. Have you ever had a neuropsych testing? That is what did it for me. I had lost my ability to multitask which made me unable to do my job. I am trying to get SSD - I am working through an attorney, but with a possible diagnosis of NS, I am not sure I will get it without a firm diagnosis. Have you thought about contacting the EEOC - can your company give you that kind of trouble without it being discriminatory because of your diagnosis? Also, for the SSD get an attorney - they will be able to work the maze of paperwork. You don't need the stress. The second part is for . Please, please bring this up to your doctor immediately or go to the ER. It is so frightening to read about these things and I am very worried about you. Please let us know how you do. And third, Hello Claire. Glad to have you join us. Tell us about yourself (if you want) so we can get to know you. Lastly, fourth, Rose my geriatric crab, Dr. Claw, died yesterday. I gave him a nice burial at sea, a great prayer and wished him God Speed to the great crabbie pattie in the sky. I guess Nurse Betty is going to have to have a new pal added to the homestead this week. I don't want her to be lonely. I hope everyone takes care of themselves. I feel lucky to be in some kind of remission and I hope others will have the fortune to do so also. Terri G.
