Vanilla Fudge,

I did....I got a referal for an endoscopy from my PCP (also for my Thyroid blood test, chest xray, etc). The tests are all done, and hopefully Ill have all the results when I walk into my consult next week.

Good Luck

Donna

You can get any test that you want. Some surgeons will request it and I doubt if any will not be willing for you to have it. And they will order it so is will be covered by insurance. I considered myself lucky in not having it required, though. I didn't want it. But instead my doctor required both me and my wife to have a colonoscopy. Not fun but at our age he felt it was necessary.

Joe, we, at " our age " need it most. If not for

pre-op discovery, then for general preventative medicine.

I was beginning to feel like an old dinasaur and now

realize I may be the oldest one here but not the only

one *60* YEAH!! Now if only, Dr. Anthone doesn't

think I am too old to have this revision done. And

thanks to all for what I am learning from this group

about taking care of *everything*

Not sure how far out your surgeon is giving dates, cuz my surgeon

wants the tests to be within 30 days..it would be gross to have to

redue the test..no fun, and insurance may not pay the second time.

Maybe ask the surgeons office what they think.

Good luck,

Cindy
