Guest guest
Yeah, Becky its good to hear from you too. I think I'm in the same boat as you are about my diagnosis, my neurologist said that I was definately NS, but back in Feb I had a episode where my blood count dropped and my kidneys' quit functioning normally and I got up in the middle of the night confused and broke my Right ankle and my Left foot. So, I'm in a powerchair right now, as I don't have the energy in my upper arms to roll myself around. They had neurologist to see me while in the hospital at Vanderbilt but for some reason they didn't send my normal neurologist, I hate when that happens. Glad to see your back, but sorry your still having problems.. Hugz, teresa -- RE: : Has it been that long Yes it is me, Becky from Huntsville, AL. It has been a long time. I have been going the rounds. I had a major flare and had to be in a wheel chair briefly. I really got down and out. It was pretty bad. Thought I had a firm diagnosis. The Rheumologist(sp) said it was absolutely ns. The neurologists have gotten into it and they are saying can't be sure now. I have finally gotten into a remission of sorts. I am off the methotrexate, solumedrol, prednisone, and plaquenil. I have been off them 2 months and so far so good. My energy level is good, but the pain persists and I couldn't pass a drunk test stone cold sober. How have you been? I notice Quinton and Rose are still on. Glad to see all of you still here. Guest guest
Hey, Becky. Glad to hear that you are doing pretty well. Nice change from so many of our messages. Someday there will be a cure or at least a more effective way to manage NS, and we will have more letters like yours. Keep in touch!
