Hi Darlene, It's such a good sign that you are feeling better with more energy . Must be due to the Remicade. Sure is a "wonder drug" for everyone who is on it. Wish I could have stayed on it. My blood just couldn't handle it. Just make sure you still rest up and take it easy though. Let your daughters take over still. You don't want to overdue and end up feeling lousy again. I hope the next infusion goes well and everything improves even more for you. You deserve it. Love, Debbie Darlene wrote: Good morning all, First, WELCOME to all the new members. "family" though with many who are willingto help answer questions and offer advice. We have nearly 400 membersnow........... I read the emails each evening and morning and try to answerthose that I can. I just get sooooo tired and most of the time Iam in the recliner either sleeping or resting......I hate this! But on a lighter note, I had my Doctor appt yesterday with mycardiologist/pulmonary specialist and he was pleased with myprogress so that was good news. He would like for me to either lowermy Imuran or quit it all together and suggested I talk to my Rheumito see about it. My Rheumi is the one who prescribed it to me and nowhas me on the Remicade along with the Imuran. The Remicade reallyseems to be helping me --- but I am "early" in the treatment. Thiswill be my first attempt at going 8 weeks between treatments. We shallsee........ I have about another month to go before my next

infusion.I do seem to feel better though and once in a while I have a littlebit of energy (which I have not seen for about 5 or 6 years)! It issooooo hard not to over do when I have a good day. Enough about me.......I hope each of you have a great day today. It is supposed to be very hot and very humid here for the next 5 days orso (at least) so I will be in around the A/C! :-) The kids are allcoming in for Fathers Day but we are holding it at one of my daughtershouse so I won't have so much to do. I hope you all have a goodweekend. I won't be around through the day today as I have to answer thephones at my daughters business but I will be here tonight.......Hugs to all,DarleneNS Co-Owner/Moderator

Darlene, I'm glad you're doing better on the Remicade, I really wish I could have tried it. I'm still on 150 or Imuran, and it was doing well till my fall last Feburary, now I'm sliding into a hole, it feels like. Anyway, you take care and get plenty of rest.

Hugs,

I had my Doctor appt yesterday with my

my Imuran or quit it all together and suggested I talk to my Rheumi

Darlene,

Do remember that Remicade is made to work in conjunction with Methotrexate--so if you can't do the MTX-- then you do need to continue with the imuran.

Our bodies have the ability to build antibodies against the Remicade, and this is why we have to be on a combination.

If you can lower the imuran, that would be great-- but to discontinue it would not be a good thing.

Thanks for letting us know what's up.

Love ya,

I feel the same way about the Cytoxan treatment the last few months. Is it worth it? Would Imuran worked as well for me without the exhaustion? Maybe just the stress of moving........grannylunatic@... __________________________________________________
