Tracie I agree with Debbie the girlfriend had a good thing going, but she chose to continue her bad behavior, that was destructive in your family life, sometimes that's our only place of peace. When something or someone invades your family life, you have to make tough decisions, no matter how hard. You have given her a good home, but she refused to follow the rules.

I know your heart hurt to see Tori go with her, but he will always be your son. He'll see that soon.

Tracie, Congratulations on getting your "roommates" out. I know it was hard on you especially since it was your son. I know it would be hard if it was my son, too. But the gf had to go! It sounds like you had a nice evening afterwards. Its always to get out and get away from the "prison" of the house, isn't it? Anyway, a lot of stress is going to be taken off your shoulders now . We took a short drive to Chico, ate at Olive Garden (Tortillini with mushrooms and cheese and shrimp in a Garlic herb sauce--yum!). Then we drove back up the "back way" which goes up the Butte Creek Canyon, saw some wild turkeys and a couple of deer-- much of it is unpaved, and winds up the canyon side on a single lane--the thunder clouds were building up and it was the darkest gray skys. I love it!We had to give the dogs Kalm-eeze-- (valerian root) so that if it started thundering before we were home, they'd stay calm. Works well.I'm still struggling with everything, but I hope that things will calm down here now that Tor and his gf are out-- and I have some down time for me.
