Guest guest
Hello everyone, I hope that you all are having a wonderful new year!! We are back from Mayo, and all is well. Gentry saw Dr. O'Leary for her heart, he did an echo cardiogram and he said all looked good, she does have a murmur due to a common infant condition that he thinks will go away on its own, and even if it doesn't he said she will be just fine. We saw Dr. Whiteman who ordered blood work, all came back good so far, her lactic acid was a bit high, but he thinks it was due to a hard blood draw. He said he wished that the levels would have been normal, but he still thinks that it was just because of the blood draw. So far she is checking out just great, but we will continue to test her about every 4-6 weeks to make sure nothing develops. Since we don't actually know at what point Aspyn would have developed mito, or have shown signs of it, we will test for sure until she is 5 months old (since that is when we discovered Aspyn's condition) We love Gentry very much, she will never replace Aspyn, but she is such a joy, and has helped ease the pain. We have a beautiful heavenly angel, and now we have a beautiful earthly angel. Thank you all for thinking of us, and keeping us in your prayers.
