Guest guest
A foundation was set up to GIVE hearing aids (NEW ones, not rebuilt ones) to persons unable to afford them. I do not know if this applies to Cochlear Implants but felt it was worth mentioning here. It is: HEAR NOW Program6700 Washington Avenue S.Eden Prairie, MN 55344phone: 1- There is a nonrefundable processing fee of $50 per hearing aid. Your income needs to be $11,225 or less for one person, $15,150 for a family of two, $19,075 for a family of 3; $23,000 for a family of 4, or $26,925 for a family of 5. There is paperwork you have to complete in order to prove you're eligible, and you're advised that you could take 8 weeks before you know if you've been approved. Guest guest
Patty, It's true. There is also an organization called Sertoma that does gives hearing aids to people who can't afford them. You can look at their website at: http://www.sertoma.org/ Hearing aids are extremely expensive so if you qualify for these programs.. it's definitely worth looking into. Life without hearing is very difficult. Alice Hi I was just wondering if anyone else read this past post on the hearing aids. It almost sounds too good to be true, I know I would quality financially, but just wanted to know if this isn't a scam or something, to get 100 bucks out of us. I just cant see any company giving out new $5000.00 hearing aids. Maybe Alice out their could do some checking into this thanks for listening anyway.
