Guest guest
Thanks Matt for the good luck, I am home tonight. The surgery was a little rough as instead of one time cut the wound up cutting me three times. Guess I shouldve been prepared though, the IV to get me to sleep started off badly and I wound up getting it put in the foot. But I have a brand new port in my jugular vein even though I have blood clots there they were still able to thread the line up there so maybe we are back in business again and I can have the meds I need, wish me luck. Guest guest
Hi Rose my surgery was Friday at noon was supposed to b e at about 10:30 but they had problems getting an IV in of course and then my doctor was running behind, seems he was not having a fun day either, first he had trouble intubating one of his patients then me Iv trouble then problems putting my port in due to t he clots and bad veins finally wound up putting one in my jugular after one or two cuts wound up to three and had to finish up in the cath lab with bruises all over oh well everything can't be perfect for this sarc monster can it. Now at least I can get back on my meds before another bad flair and can get on coumadin for the clots. How has it been going for you haven't talked to you in so long. Guest guest
Thanks Marla for the concern. The surgery went ok and I am back at home hoping that can get my infusions started back and draw blood easier with my new port. I guess they just had problems threading the port as I can see where I have been cut more than once and lots of bruising, can't seem to do anything the easy way lately but I guess if I could it just wouldn't be me but God has definitely seen me through some tight squeezes lately. Take care and let me know how you are doing. Your friend always, Jeanna marla wrote: Jeanna, I am sorry to hear of so many complications, I hope you are better now that you are home. Guest guest
Hi Jeanna, Glad you're home, hope things get better for you. I am doing better now that the cold has passed, we had cold with snow for a couple of days, and that is tough on the bones, I get the deep bone pain with the cold, and wish I could just stay in my bed with my blanket on high and my heating pad on hi, but that's not real life. anyway I am better now that the sun is shining, and it's warmer. I will pray that things go well for you. hugs and blessings, Marla Thanks Marla for the concern. Guest guest
Hi, Jeanna. Yeah, the past two years have flown by, haven't they? I'm glad your kids are doing so well. Unfortunately, my son & his wife are having some problems. They are separated, but still spend a lot of time together & are going to counselling. It's hard not to feel like a failure as a parent when 2 of your 3 kids are divorced, and the 3rd one might be headed that way. But, it's not in my hands, so I just try to be supportive to every body involved, and pray. Sounds like you had quite a time at the hospital. With all the technological advances you'd think we'd have come up with some surefire way of starting IV's. Well, I hope that's all the trouble you have for awhile! Say hi to Jeff for me.
