It's reccomended for mito patients to see a neuro opthamologist to look for neurological probs. relating to the eyes and mito. I saw a fantastic one at CCF by the name of Dr. Lee. He was super! If no probs. are found upon exam you just need to get rechecked in 2 yrs. It is a very lengthy exam though but not painful. They are really ahead in opthamology in my opinion. Hope you feel better and have a safe and productive trip. Which gastro are you seeing? Is it a motility expert? I've got an appt with Dr. Falk in late Feb. and was wondering what that would entail. I'll look forward to hearing about your appt. when you return.

The lab rat is on vacation so I'm filling in lol. Hoping the weather

doesn't get too bad between here and there. I have back to back

appointments on Wed and Thur including many tests and doctor appts.

Not really looking forward to the lengthy emg. I can't imagine a test

taking 3 hours. Then there is the fun spinal tap. Does anyone know if

this is done to find mito related problems or if it is only to rule

out other diseases? I'm still feeling quite miserable as far as

nausea and vomiting. I hope it doesn't keep up or I don't know how

I'll even go. I guess the gi doc couldn't be better timing. I'm

seeing a neuro-opthalmologist at the request of Dr. Tsao although I'm

not really sure why. Is this part of a mito workup too? Hope everyone

had a nice holiday.

Great! I can't wait to hear how it goes since you are seeing the same docs. as I am. :)

I'm sick with an E-coli infection but trying to get over it. I've been on antibiotics for 3 days, so hopefully soon I will bounce back. It's been a rough past week though. Thanks for asking. Have a good trip!
