Guest guest
? I'm lost on this one. , My son did this for years and the doctors told me no way he could have food not digested after that long, this was a nightly occurrence! Then they said it was food allergies. Now years later he still does the not wanting to eat and the constipation, finally he got to see a gastro doctor and they found he was so backed up that he was hardly moving the food, the doctor ordered him a clean out and them Mirlax daily to keep things going. I ask about this and was told that the muscles in the digestive system can be effected too, everything just slows, and they don't want to eat cause they still are full. I would ask for a referral to a gastro doctor. J, Mom to 15, mito unknown, Mirella, 3 months, status unknown (showing some signs but could be because she was early)

Guest guest
Hey ! Sorry I haven't gotten back with you in a while! Maddie does this with several different foods (not the vomiting, but she'll have undigested hotdog, mushrooms, grape peels) It was explained to me that when she doesn't fully chew things (just gets them back in her mouth and swallows them) it's harder for her system to digest. I often worry about intestinal blockage, etc. She refuses to eat hot dogs or bologna, almost as if she knows these bother her stomach. Just a thought. Holly Has anyone else seen this? For the last few weeks or so I have been concerned that Gracies reflux is acting up again. The smallest thing will make her vomit, also she has had alot of hiccups. But something happened last night that I cannot explain. She ate her lunch at about 12:30 or so, she was offered two hotdogs but ate maybe half of it. At 9:30 at night she coughed a little and then started vomiting. I know this is gross but as I was cleaning it up I noticed a lot of full chunks of undigested hotdog in it. I don't understand how 9 hours later there was still food that had not been digested, at all. She had refused dinner, but this is not uncommon. Otherwise she was not abnormal any other way all day. Also for the past few weeks her coordination has been off and she has had a lot of constipation. Any ideas? I'm lost on this one. Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions. Guest guest
-- Austen has done this too. He has had supper and next day AT LUNCH will vomit with bits of supper in it. No one belives me! I am also mystified. We have an appointment with urologist coming up. I'll have to mention it and see if they can refer question to gastrologist. Guest guest
Sheldon has had the same thing happen, where 8 or 9 hours after a meal he vomits up the food. I've noticed grapes and bananas.
