Guest guest
Checking in. Although, Ive noticed there are two Bonnie's. So now, Im Bonnie B. I am scheduled for two days of neuro test, evoked potential, somatosensory, emg etc and a lumbar puncture all in the next two weeks. This is to help figure out if I have neuro sarc or ms. My neuro visit scared me. I have more neuropathy than I knew of and it makes sense to me in retrospect. He discovered that I had no reflexes in the bottom of my feet and lack of feeling in them and also going up my legs Explains the trouble I have with balance sometimes. I guess you all have experienced this as well. My hands I kind of knew about after burning one of em!! I told one of the doctors I work with about this on Friday. I asked him for valium cause I have getting zapped with emg's. Hes so cool and supportive of me. I havent told my family of my possible diagnosis yet. I just told them I needed to have testing done for some problems Ive been having. Bonnie B

Guest guest
Hi guys, As you know, I took most of last week off, and am still not back to kicking it yet. Between the lymphflare, lungs on tyraid, and a nasty whiplash-- I'm only operating on 1/2 power--if that. I'm still making it 3 or 4 times a week for treatment for this whiplash-- so that's about my limit. Rose, Darlene, Debbie and our dear Kim (miss ya girlfriend)-- are here to take good care of you. Love to all, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator

Guest guest
OK, you requested a reply, so here it is. I am off to new doctors galore. I saw a great pulmonary specialist in Nov in St. Louis, and he wants me to see other specialists in St. Louis. It seems i have a doctors appointment every thurs for all of Feb. I am glad I am finally receiving the necessary care to keep "on top" of t his disease. People (like YOU) keep saying, if you are not getting results from your Dr. get a new Dr. Well, thank you -- I diid that, and I could not be happier. I saw a new neurologist Thurs (2.2) and he had lots of informaiton for me. He disagrees with the pulmanary specialist that I can decrease my methotraxate. He feels I should increase that medicine. BUT (Do you believe this) he will call and discuss this with the pulm dr. They will get back to me. He also prescribed a med for my Restless Leg Syndrome. I am so relieved that I finally feel like I am receiving medical care that I should have received all along. Of course, as always I am having feet problems. I have had two foot surgeries, and I need to go back to the local podiatrist. Again, I feel stupid-- why go locallly when we have all these specialist in St. Louis. If i can't be fixed with two surgeries, why do I think I will be fixed with a third. I know it is time to return to St. Louis University Care Specialist, and get these feet fixed. Maybe, I can say "These feet are made for walking, and that's just what I'll do, .....I forgot who wrote that song. Anyway, -- I'm rmabling too. I just want to say Thank you for the great advise. I am so happy to be receiving much better dr care now. DotRose wrote: Where is everybody? Lots of quiet people; I hope that's because you are feeling well enough to be busy! Guest guest
Bonnie B. You sound like my medical twin. Let me know how all of your tests come out. I have been having a lot of problems with balance and I have come to realize part of it is because I am having decreasing feeling in my feet. I have not had the emg or the somatosensory at all. Take care of yourself and be sure to lay down after your LP. I am glad your Doc is supportive. I use ativan for spasms and the anxiety that goes along with all of this stuff. Glad to see you posting and good luck. Terri G. >> Checking in. Although, Ive noticed there are two Bonnie's. So now, Im Bonnie > B.
