Guest guest
I'm curious, about how everyone handles school for their kids, if their kids' symptoms keep changing all the time. Right now we are planning on homeschooling Jericho in the fall, although we haven't totally ruled out school. We just feel like it would be so much easier for him to do what he is able to do, and work around what he can't do, that way. Plus it will be much easier for him to rest on the days when he needs it, and it will be easier to work around the word retrieval problems that come and go. Has anyone tried school with a child who has big changes? How has it gone? I'm sure it depends a lot on the individual school but I'm still very interested. Do you get an aide when needed, and if so, does the process of getting one usually take longer than the symptoms last? Or is someone assigned full-time even if the child only needs the aide for a week or two, or a month or two, here and there? Lynne
