Guest guest
Occasionally, I'll get a tightening feeling behind my breastbone. When it happens it only lasts for about 20 seconds, but I have to hold my breath when I get this pain, as when I try to take a deep breath to relieve the pain it gets worse. I've gotten this pain for as long as I can remember but maybe only a few times a year. Lately, though, it seems to be happening more frequently. I want to avoid going to pcp if possible, but, I'm concerned maybe I should get it checked out. Has anyone else had anything similar or know what it could be? Guest guest
My oldest daughter and myself get this. Feels like a stabbing pain but is worse if you dont hold your breath. Sometimes it hurts so bad I feel as if i will pass out. We were both told it was from stress and getting to tired. We both have mitral valve prolaps. I hope this helps and you find the answers you need. Blessings, Horsley Tightening Feeling in Chest Occasionally, I'll get a tightening feeling behind my breastbone. Guest guest
Did you give a thought to reflux? I am told it feels much like a heart attack pain in the chest.
