They told us that the reflexes were lost during one of the times he had a chemical imbalance and would never come back. It was one of the things that prompted his primary care to send him on to the specialists. ( will try to help the doctors if they hit him with the hammer as he knows they want to have reflexes. It makes him laugh but they don't like the help.) Don't know if it makes them more prone to injury as they can't draw back as quickly.
