You are NOT over-reacting. I would encourage you to get him in to the doctor SOON! If he really is having swallowing problems, he could aspirate it down into his lungs which culd then lead to pneumonia. It is a fairly simple test to do a Barium Swallow (as you know...you've done it before) and it will really give you the info you need. If he's not aspirating, then that is great news. And if he is, the speech therapist can work with you to help him with the safest diet possible. It's really important that you not wait on this...good for you for following your "mom" instincts!
