Guest guest
You should call your pediatrician on this one. If I were to guess, I would bet she is coming down with something. Everytime Gracie gets sick she is "weird" for a day or so before the illness. This is especially true for ear infections. Best bet if your worried is to call. I think if I did not call when concerned, my ped would be upset with me. At least you will know if she should be seen or not. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing. Guest guest
Hope Leah is feeling better. I also do not know if Augmentin is safe or not for mito, but Gracie uses that the most. I think it is the Erythromycin's that are dangerous, Aug. is a penicillin product. Why did she have the tubes removed? My oldest daughter had them, and they just eventually fell out on there own. Best wishes to her, ear infections hurt. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon so she will have some relief.

Guest guest
Thanks for the input on that Leah may be getting some thing. She has a double ear infection with her left being worse than the right ear. Her ped said she must have a high pain tolerance. So he gave her a prescription for an antibotic; but augmentin. Can't remember is that a safe one for mito? She was on amoxocillin before; which was last month. She had her tubes taken out last month; so when you said ears, I thought, ah.....no fever, just restless sleep and very little appetite and every one knows our kids really need to keep their appetites up. So I thought if nothing showed up at the visit no lost or gain; but gut instinct knew some thing was up. Nerenhausen mom to Leah albregra@... wrote: You should call your pediatrician on this one. Guest guest
Leah had to have tubes put in because of her cleft palate. She has had the original t-tubes put in at 6 months of age. So she got mileage out of them and one of them was all blocked and starting to fail. So we had them taken out. But she'll probably need new tubes as this is her second ear infection since January.
