Guest guest
Wow! 9 Kids! And I think my one is a handful! What a fun and loving household you must have! It's great that you are getting such an early start. We didn't get Abbey's diagnosis till she was 2 and the improvement since she started her medicine has been incredible! I'll be thinking of you and your family. > I have 9 children. Luke is 15 and is healthy other than some odd sensory issues being looked into in February. Leah is 13 and has quite a few Mito soft signs but has done some testing and doesn't need any medication thus far according to Dr. Whiteman. Just keep an eye on her he says is 12 and other than heat intolerance is great. Isaac is 9 and is healthy other than allergies, asthma, and an ADHD tendancy although we haven't tested him for it and don't plan to. Tirzah is 7 and is healthy now but had a close call at 11 months when she had bone marrow failure to unknown reasons. Asenath will be 4 in March and cognitively is about 2 due to stroke damage. She talks but has had stroke damage to her speech area and so has many letters that she has to relearn. She was ahead of most kids her age before the strokes hit. She walked at 10 months and talked in long sentences by 1 1/2. the strokes have caused issues with her legs (DAFO's) and her arms although her left mostly, her trunk, her speech and different mouth issues, cognitive issues, etc. But she is amazing and has recovered a lot and keeps going. We are very proud of her. She takes about 10 different meds including the coctail, is g-tube fed, has sleep issues and uses oxygen when needed, has asthma, not potty trained, etc... Kezia (our adopted little girl) is 3 in two days and healthy now. She had severe reflux issues when she was first placed with us. Marquis (our adopted little guy) is 2 and healthy other than some issues form in-utero drug exposure including the ADHD stuff. And, lastly, Zipporrah is 2 1/2 months old and you have probably heard all about her symptoms I am worried about. A long list for you to read. Hopefully it will help you know my family a little more. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for asking. > > Darla: mommy to Asenath > Get more from the Web.
