They did a bone marrow, liver and skin biopsy as well as a mediport replacement. The only news we have gotten back thus far, is that her bone marrow looks worse than a year ago. Fewer red cell precursers. This just confirms that her anemia probably will not get better, but will turn into aplastic anemia. Her tissue samples are beng sent all over the country. Dr. Schoffner is even going to take a look for us. I hope we get some answers from all of this. has never had a firm diagnoses for anything. No one can figure out how all of her horrible illnesses are linked. Her doc said that if we don't find out with these tests, then it hasn't been found and named yet (the Myers disorder???) She also had an EEG on Friday, a transfusion Sat. and will go back in about a week or so for an MRI. I don't know how she does it. She is just happy as can be and didn't complain once.
