Guest guest
Clair, I've had the electric-shock sensations for the last 4-5 yrs., mostly in my feet, but sometimes in my legs or arms. I've had several in a row that would pop my foot right off the gas pedal! No doctor that I've reported this to has seemed very interested. I assume it's another reaction to nerve inflammation. It's actually gotten less frequent in the last couple of years; maybe a response to the immune suppressants. Ramblin' Rose Moderator Reply-To: Neurosarcoidosis To: Neurosarcoidosis Subject: Leg PainDate: Thu, 18 May 2006 20:33:10 +0000 (GMT) Hi All My sarc so far has been restricted to neurological areas but over the past couple of days I have been getting sharp almost 'electrical' stabs of pain in my left calf. I did have a lumbar puncture a couple of months ago which they did hit a nerve which sent a similar electric pain down my left leg (it hurt hell of a lot) but it recovered. Its just starting to worry me the pain is there and gone agin very quickly, is it something I should see my doctor about or just hope it will go away ? Thanks for any advise I receive. Guest guest
Rose, I am not sure yet if it sarc, but I get the sharp stabbing pains in my right ear. It makes me pull my head down and to the right like a puppy somebody is getting on to. I'm just glad it doesn't last long or I don't know what I'd do. There is nothing wrong with my ear like infection or such so ????? By the way are you sure it's the electric shock making you jerk your foot off the gas pedal or the words highway patrol on the side of a car nearby. I tend to jerk my foot off the gas when I see those two words and get a little shiver down my spine. (Yes, I am notorious for flying without a pilots license) Just teasing you.....Take care//Always, ConnieRose wrote: Clair, I've had the electric-shock sensations for the last 4-5 yrs., mostly in my feet, but sometimes in my legs or arms. Guest guest
Connie, I used to have a reputation for a real lead-foot (drives like a bat outta hell was a common description). But my car insurance is so high after two major wrecks & knocking a lady over in WalMart (I just barely bumped her & she fell down; I am compulsive about checking behind me, but she was in my blind spot. She wasn't hurt.), plus Sam as a driver . . . . I really can't afford any tickets. So I am careful, use cruise control when possible, and drive just under the limit most of the time. Guest guest
Rose, I also I had that same "reputation" of being a lead foot . But same as you I had a couple of accidents, one of blacking out and the other because of my meds making me drowsy and spacey that I drive really slowly now. The dr ended up changing my psych meds too cause I was so afraid to drive myself over 15 mins after that. My insurance is sky high as well and needless to say , my husband isn't happy with me in the auto department! Guest guest
The only reason I'm not in the doghouse with the insurance company is because the only car I damaged when I blacked out and went in the woods was mine, it was still driveable and I just didn't turn it in.
