I need some help

Hi, everyone.

I am fairly new to enzymes and I have not posted any results

(positive or negative) because our 3 year old son is having a major

gut bug issue right now and we just can't seem to get a handle on it

(which is why I am writing to get your opinions).

Matt had Clostridia overgrowth and yeast. We gave him a 10-day

course of Flagyl and he improved a bit after only 3 days on it, but

then on day 4 or 5 went back to his old ways. Then we started the 18

day course of Nizoral (we are on day 11) and again, he slept ok for a

few days and then went right back to not sleeping and the spaciness

(which had not gone away) came back in full force. So, I'm thinking

we must have some other bug. His belly is hugely distended (still,

despite all of this), and he is not pooping regularly at all (I have

been giving him suppositories every couple of days to keep things

moving). I am wondering if he has Citrobacter, but I am not sure

what this is or the symptoms it would cause.

Also, Matt has occasionally been getting red ears about 1 hour after

eating (despite a rotated diet). I am concerned he may be reacting

to the enzymes -- this happened after a while when we used the

Kirkman enzymes. When I stopped using them completely, the red ears

vanished. Last month, we started the Houston enzymes (very slowly)

and watched for red ears, but all seemed fine until about a week

ago. He gets the red ears but not after every meal. I am wondering

if he is reacting to the mold used to make the enzymes (he is

allergic to molds).

I would appreciate any thoughts you have on any of this! Thanks!

Wishing all of you the best for 2002!

Liz
