Sorry to hear that you had such a rough time. I noticed you mention about the pneumonia on the x ray. I do not know if this is related or not, but I have a daughter (not affected) that every time she has a chest x ray it is positive for pneumonia. She does not have asthma (which is strange because my other two do) and is usually totally healthy. We noticed it at about the third or fourth x ray due to chest colds (my pediatrician routinely does them even with a mild congestion, just to be safe) that they always showed pneumonia. She did not see a pulminologist because she just is not symptomatic of anything, but one was consulted. He just said that sometimes asthma will show up as a false pneumonia. Odd, because she does not have asthma, but he said she just may have a real mild case that does not bother her. I have probably confused you more, but just to let you know it can happen. For now with her we rarely would even do a chest x ray, because it is just going to show the same thing, and it is not worth the worry.

I hope the girls are getting better. It is always nice to be back home.
