I had a 3hr. GTT with a 2 hr. sugar at 49 a few months back. I had gestational diabetes x 2 and was told if I didn't drop my weight, I would for sure get diabetes. Anyways, I saw the endo yestarday and she told me that I do not have hypoglycemia. She said it is not uncommon for women to have blood sugars in the 40's. It is a myth that this is hypoglycemia. I said why do I feel like this 2 hrs. after I eat, then? She said it is a symptom of the dysautonomia...like when the food leaves the stomach; a dumping syndrome. I am very frustrated by this, and feel like she didn't get this. Doesn't get mito. She does have dysautonomia though. Is this true? Has anyone ever heard this? Would love some feedback on thius from any of you who have dealt with bloodsugar issues and/or hypoglycemia issues and have seen an endo. Thanks, Dawn Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
Guest guest
I do Triage. Our parameters are to call 911 for any blood glucose below 50. 40 DEFINITELY is not normal by any stretch of the imagination, it is a clinical emergency. kj mom to De-Arbra age

Guest guest
Dawn, Hypoglycemia with Mito is not a myth. It is very real. My older son was born with low blood sugar. The mito cells are used up so fast that you can get low blood sugar.... Make sure that you always have a protein and a carb together. Eat smaller meals every three hours. Hang in there.
