Alyssa, I'm glad to hear you are in better spirits. I'd be glad to add my prayers to the flow for you. That new man of yours actually sounded alot like my husband! HA. Except the purring is loud snoring....lol. Yeah, there was a time I thought I had a firm grasp on life but have learned how tenuous it really is. I'm sending good thoughts and prayers your way and hope they at least give you peaceful soft days and at the most healing and/or great doctors. hugs S. ps there are some great scarves out there if wigs are too itchycastawayfay wrote: Yes, Dylan said it best : Rage, rage against the dying of the light. I'm in much better spirits after reading all the love from the group. Thank you all so much! Chemotherapy really isn't as bad as I thought it would be, the only bad thing so far is the constant stream of IVs (and me with needle-phobia). My hair is very thin now and i've made an appointment to get it properly shaved this weekend. It'll be an ...interesting experience. I found that wigs are too itchy to be comfortable. And all this because I'm steroid resistant (if only the Prednisone had worked!). I'm a very spiritual person, but not affiliated with any one religion. I truly appreciate prayers from everyone, in fact, if prayer alone could fix me I' d be up and dancing the jig in a

flash! I have to admit, my faith has been shaken to its very core these past few years- How I would love a remission, just a few days off, maybe. One last thing, there's a new man in my life. hes got a great personality, a hairy back, and he purrs constantly. Yes, I adopted from the local shelter and he is a ray of sunshine in my grey, short life.Wishing you all pain-free days and warm soft nights,Alyssa

Alyssa, I'm sorry about all you are having to endure, but it seems that you are calling on many resources to get through.

About the wigs, I have a friend who had leukemia a couple of years ago. I went to visit her in the hospital & she was telling me about the plans for chemo & expecting her hair to fall out. I asked if she was going to get a wig & Patty said, "Oh, heck, no! I'm not wearing any scarves either. I've already bought a Reggie hat to wear!" (Reggie just retired from the Indiana Pacers, for those of you who are not basketball fans.) Later on she told me that it was pretty handy to be bald; she didn't have to waste time fussing with her hair--just shower, get dressed & on her way!

As for your new man, he sounds just as delightful as my man . I posted a photo of last year, but for those who missed it, here it is again. Try to control your jealousy, girls.
