Darla: mommy to Asenath Re: Asenath-High blood sugar/etc. The headaches could be from the high blood sugars.I'll say an extra prayer tonight for Asenath.Geri-Anne and Wyatt, Complex I> Does anyone have any experience with diabetes or elevated blood sugars? Asenath's have been high for several months now due to the steroid use. Her fasting blood sugar level was 145 last Wednesday and today it is 157. It has been up to the 180's and unless she seems to be getting hypoglycemic with her symptoms stays above the 120's. The neurologists told me to keep aware of her numbers because steroids can cause you to become diabetic if you are prone towards it. Well, I have talked to the doctors about her regularly high numbers and they keep saying as long as they aren't continually high don't worry about it. The thing is, they aren't listening to me because they ARE continually high even when fasting overnight which we tried last week and got the 145 number. Any suggestions of what I should do?> Asenath has also been having more headaches, holding her head and complaining lots, her pulse ox has been running low, her eyes have been very heavy looking, and she is constantly clingy, even holding my hand to fall asleep each night. I can tell she is wiped out even though she is getting plenty of rest, so I guess we are hitting one of her bad periods again. Please say a prayer for her as I know she is struggling and we also are getting a nasty virus running through the house and I am worried she will get it and of course worried about possible strokes happening. I am hoping the headaches aren't a sign that the steroids aren't working. > > Darla: mommy to Asenath and the gang Get more from the Web.
