Tracie, I don't know what to say. This is probably the worse news I've heard. I know there is not much we can do other than send our support to her family and let them know that she had been a rock for this group for a very very long time. I'm sure some of you new folks don't know that Darlene has held this group together in some very unstable times.. and Tracie you've been right there with her and us. We sometimes forget how to say those two little words that seldom come from our mouths that say "Thank You" and to someone that has worked so hard to keep things together it means the world.. that's all they want is acknowledgement from time to time.

I can't say that I am as religious as some of the good folks on the list, but I have a heart and I know that "God" knows my name, he may hasn't heard from me in a while, but its a talk that I sure plan to have with him regarding our friend in need.

It sounds so like things are out of our hands. and Darlene and her need a miracle.. For those of you that do believe in the power of prayer wether it be to "God", a "Higher Power", what ever source you draw your strenght please take a little time to mention Darlene's name..

Thanks Tracie for sharing with us even the bad news.

Much love and prayers,

-- Darlene update from her daughter

Sorry to be out of touch so long. Mom is still very sick, and has been at Methodist Hospital in Indy since July 25. Was only home from Vincennes hospital a few days. She's been in critical care for 4 days now, with no end in sight. She has histoplasmosis throughout her entire body, even her bone marrow. On top of that, they suspect a bacterial infection in her lungs. Did another lung biopsy yesterday, so will be a few days before we have results. She's on a respirator, has a chest tube to drain fluids from her lungs, a feeding tube, arterial line, heavily sedated. It's very, very serious. Please pray for her, as we are all very concerned. Will stay in touch.

I don't know Darlene as I'm new to the group, but I will pray for her and her family. I am so sorry to here of such news. Sounds like she is having a real struggle and there are many of you out there that really count on her in this group. She sounds like a remarkable lady. She will be in my prayers daily!

Blessings to her and her family,

Diane in TX
