Guest guest
Angie, Have you thought about contacting Abbott Laboratories and asking if they would work out a plan where they would accept the 55% that your insurance company pays. They have a patient assistance program, and all they can say is no. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, if you are working you may be able to get vocational rehabilitation in your state to pay the other 45%. Try not to worry to much where your marriage is concerned. Talk, read, and hold tight to God & each other. Sometimes worrying causes it own problems. Take Care..........Connie --- cytochic tagildow@...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > My name is Angie and I wrote about a week ago > about my neurosarc and > trying to get humira paid for by my insurance. > Well, they have agreed > to pay 55% and I'm responsible for 45% which is > still a lot but every > little bit helps. Guest guest
Angie, I work for vocational rehabilitation in florida. We are a state agency and we are paid for by tax dollars so we are not a charity. Every time you pay tax on something you pay for this program. That said, what we do is help people with disabilities (nothing to do with social security) keep their jobs or get new ones. Your disability is your sarcoid, and at least where I work they have heard of it. In your case in order for you to keep working, you need your meds. All you have to do is contact your State of ________ Dept of _________ Vocational Rehabilitation and tell them you want to make a referral for yourself. They will assign a counselor who will draw up a program to help you. We pay for medical procedures if people don't have insurance or have insurance that won't cover a procedure, medication, retraining, college, housing & vehicle modifications, clothes, work support, etc. etc. There are no questions about your finances. Like I explained the program has already been paid for by tax dollars. The other thing that later on may be help is that social security respects our agency's opinions on disabilities. Alot of disability lawyers send their clients to us for evaluation, if we can help them they are allowed to make extra income without endangering their disability. If we can't help them, that is just one more piece of proof that they need ssd or are justifiably receiving it. Hope this helps, if you want to speak to me directly just email me at conaugusta@... and I will email you my phone #. Connie If you get in the program and are dissatisfied or just change your mind, there is not a problem. --- angie gildow tagildow@...> wrote: > Connie, > I did contact Abbott and they sent me an > application > but my husband and I work full time so I have a > feeling > they are not going to help.
