Guest guest
Can we do it from the shade, because even sunscreen, actually I think just being in the heat was too much for me, can we fish when it cools down. I now have a fine rash spreading all over, still worse on my arms. I’m really praying that it will go away so I don’t need to call the doc for treatment. Also I don’t clean fish, I use to go fishing with my Dad until he made me start putting the bate on my own hook, then I quit, yuk! My oldest son and my daughter like to fish, they went off this weekend with some friends to fish the weekend away! My husband is not a fisherman, he like to take his sailboat out and see how fast and how high he can make it go before flipping it over. That’s we did last weekend, but our little fisherman fished from the shore, they are so darn cute; I was huddled under a tarp with sunscreen on and still got the Sarc rash, darn it, oh well, I am thankful, as I don’t feel as sick as I did the last time I got this rashJ so there’s always a silver lining. Just be careful you all, wear your hat, and stay coolJ Blessings to all, Marla From: Neurosarcoidosis [mailto:Neurosarcoidosis ] On Behalf Of anewronald@... From all the post lately regarding fishing it abundantly clear that fishing is the best form of therapy for us. So everybody pack up your gear, get a case of vernors ginger ale, a jumbo can of Van Camps Pork n Beans and a loaf of Wonder bread and meet me by the lake. We have a lot of catching up to do. Please bring the mosquito repellant with DEET! See ya real soon and bring a nice, black beat up old spider for frying the fish in. For you city fied folks, a spider is referred to as a black cast iron skillet for frying. Make sure it is oiled real good and no rust on it. To hell with the doctors! A bad day fishing beats a good day at work ANYTIME! Agreed? Personally, I want some trout, brown trout even. Mmmm, Mmm, Good! Whose all coming with me? Guest guest
What are wheatie balls? And worms aren't so bad. When I use to go fishing I would take bologna sandwiches with me. No mayo or mustard. So I got tired of eating them dry. Then I would take the slime off the worms that was stuck on my fingers and rub it on my bologna to keep the sandwich from being so dry. Man! What a protein boost that was! I would perk right up and fish for hours after that. No wonder fish never sleep. A Real OutdoorsMan! Ronnie B. Buckle UP " little bonnie b. (swed) " . Guest guest
Guess I'm a little late getting in on this even though I was the one camping when it started! ha-ha. I never made it down to the water to fish. It was toooooo hot. Over 100 to be exact. My boys fished and my oldest one caught one Bass all weekend. Think the fish were smart and stayed at the bottom of the lake where it was cool! Anyway, I didn't have any Vernor's either. I did have a Smore's (sp?) and a pizza hobo pie (made in a little cast iron sandwich maker you stick in the fire). Oh, and I did have my sister's baked beans. Sorry, they weren't Van De Camps. We grew up on Bush's with stuff added to it. Hope everyone is having a good Saturday so far. Hugs to all. Diane in TX Fishing Therapy Well gang that settles it. FISHING THERAPY IT IS!!! Guest guest
Bring on your worms, old man. We did actually fish wish bread balls when I was but a wee lassie. Caught sunnies mostly. I had never fished before, my friends had all gotten bored and were off playing when I caught one. Did'nt know how to reel in so I just flipped my rod back and up. The fish ended up caught in the branches of a tree, which I then climbed with a bucket of water, crying cause I didn't want it to die. My friends still laugh at me over that one!! Now I keep fish in a tank or a bowl (siamese fighting fish). Bonnie B. ps. not a virtual fish tank... Re: Fishing Therapy Check out AOL.com today. Breaking news, video search, pictures, email and IM. Guest guest
Great Idea , I love to fish at night, like you say it is cooler, it gives you an excuse to start a bonfire and no sun to make us sick. As to the pans they are heavy, but for the life of me I can't give them up. Too much history I guess. One little biddy skillet was my grandma's egg pan, one pan is over 100 yrs old and still in great shape, the others are my mothers. --- grannylunatic@...> wrote: > I had a couple of cast iron skillets but they got to > be too heavy for me to handle & sadly I sent them > off to new homes...... > > > grannylunatic@... > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo!
