Guest guest
Rose, ...now I've just been putting cold damp towels on my head, etc. I never thought of freezing towels! I get the best ideas when people share how they cope with everyday life stuff. I've been feeling ghastly BAD in this heat and maybe that will help. I finally got a wheelchair to help on my weak or dizzy days and I got a few 'looks' the last time I went to church but it was so much more comfortable than the hard chairs. In fact I was so much more comfy that I almost fell asleep in church!...lol. I have been in another flare the last week or two and if it doesn't get better I'll have to go to the doc again. hate hate hate that... I have also been extra bitchy to the hubby but I also told him I was feeling extra bad and that he shouldn't take it personally...I just feel like shit...that's all. I don't think I could handle living with my'self' and I really wonder how people who have to live with us bitchy sick people do it at times....an extra measure of grace, I guess. Now I'm not saying that you or anyone else is bitchy...I'm just talking about myself and whoever else fits the mold. I also sleep with a fan on me but it sure does dry up my eyes at times. Today they are just burning and I'm using alot of artificial tears. take it easy Rose and take extra care of yourself, cuz we've been missing you alot! hugs S. ps ...notice I said 'extra' bitchy alongside my regular bitchy self....believe it or not I used to be a somewhat clean'mouthed nice person...oh well......................................Rose wrote: All right, Tracie! Way to go! I hope it's cooling off out there. It's been better here in Indiana the past few days. Did you have to lose power? I hear stuff on the news about thousands being without power & I can't even imagine it. When we were getting into the mid-90's day after day, I could hardly bear it. I froze damp towels to lay over my face, belly, anywhere to help cool off. And this was with a.c. & lots of fans! Even now, late at night, I've got the a.c. on & two fans blowing in my face. My heart just goes out to those suffering in the heat.
