Ginger Ale you say? I grew up drinking Vernor's ginger ale in Michigan in the 60's! Love the stuff. It's hard to find sometimes. It's the BEST!!! As for fishing......my 3 sons, ages 12 and 12 (twins) and 14, love to fish. They take after me. My Dad taught me how to when I was probably barely big enough to hold a cane pole myself. Spent many weekends and summers camping and fishing at Lake Michigan and other lakes there in Michigan. It's in my blood. We'll catch one for you Ron, probably a nice big Bass though. That's what the boys catch a lot of. We live right by the lake and so they fish a lot.

One big bummer is that today we found out that we can't have any camp fire on our lot! They are banned this summer due to fire hazard from everything being so darned dry. Also there was a big fire at the State Park right next to the one we're staying at just yesterday. To us the campfire at night is what we all look forward to. I just went today and bought stuff to make samores and hobo pies and now we have to make them in the charcoal grill. Oh well, at least we're getting away for the weekend. I really need a change of scenery bad. I think it will help my depression issues. May hurt me physically for a while, but if it can help me mentally, that's o.k.

Thanks for your prayers, smiles and wishes for comfort Ron. I pray for you also.

Love and pain free days to all,

Diane in Texas

Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you.........

I have already prayed and smiled for you and your comfort during the camping trip. I prayed as I read your post.Do me one favor if you can. Go fishing and catch me a nice trout. Then cook it over an open fire and let me know how it taste. Get you a can of pork n' beans a slice of wonder bread. Chase it down with a nice cold can of ginger ale, vernors preferrably. But be careful, Vernors is very strong. It can put hair on your chest if you are not careful.Love you and so glad you had the strength to write us and let us know how you are doing. I wish I could go camping in a air conditioned RV!My stepfather and I suppose to go fishing soon. We have not been fishing together since I was a teenager of 14 years of age. Wow! Thats been 32 years! I am really looking forward to it. He taught me how to fish with a cane pole when I was just a little lad.LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU.Your brother, :)>> I'm really sorry that I am not personally responding to everyone that has given me encouragement, hope, advise, etc., etc, over the last week or so. I've just been exhausted and have hardly even been on the computer. I tried to respond to everyone the other day and I only succeeded in letting Rose know she's in my prayers (as you all are daily). The Methotrexate has really messed with my bowels and the docs won't let me take it on my scheduled day (Friday) until my lab work results are in. I have too much diarrhea (Friday - Wednesday) and also got my first mouth blister (ulcer, sore whatever you call it) a few days ago. I'm pretty bummed because I want this to work so bad. Anyway, > > I am actually going camping this weekend for the first time in a year. I hope I do o.k. Just like Marla was concerned, I am also. I do get the luxury of sleeping in my sister's trailer at night though. The boys are sleeping in our tent which is usually where I am, but not anymore. I can't go if I can't be the air-conditioning. It's suppose to be around 100 again and that worries me. I do want to enjoy the outdoors with everyone else during the day if I can. This little get-a-way could be really good for me since I've been in such a funk lately. Pray that I make it through without overdoing it! > > I'll end by saying thanks again to those of you that emailed me a few days back when I was feeling very down. And thank you Connie for sending all that information. Ron, your letter was awesome. And to all the rest of you, love and hugs also. I didn't forget you either.> > Hugs from Diane in Texas>
