Guest guest Posted April 17, 2004 Report Share Posted April 17, 2004 My son Colby used to have a G-tube. Before we had a mickey, he used to open it and let his stomach juices come out! Sounds gross, but I think he had a stomach ache. Then when we went to the mickey butten, it would fall out about every 3 months. He had all of the problems I am reading with your e-mails. We used the silver nitrate a lot. Someone mentioned back then about, man I can't remember,wait does mole skin sound familiar to anyone. I'm not sure if thats right but I know it had an animal name. I'm such a big help! Anyway we never used it, and he finally got rid of it, and now has a pretty funky looking scar, that everybody stares at when he doesn't have his shirt on.Wish I could have been of some help mom to Colby,13,COXIV,LCHAD,ACC,ADHD ,hypothroidism and osteopenia. Caeden has developed granulation skin around his G-Tube. They gave us silver nitrate sticks to use. It worked very well but as soon as we stopped it built back up worse. Now tonight it also started to bleed and looks yucky. He seems to be in lots of pain. I am going to call doc on monday to se eif they will see him. I hope your G-Tube gets better.
