Guest guest
I don't know if you have noticed but I haven't been around for the past week or so. It just so happened that I did my first 8 hr shift at the library where I work part time and it really did me in. I was flat on my back for 3 days and haven't felt good since. I never thought I would react so badly. I can go in and do a 4 hr shift and be tired, but not end up being so sick. It made me feel very depressed because I like the job and this shift was working for $$$. Not just for volunteering. I remember when I could work 50 hrs a week, come home take care of the kids, run the household and just the "old me" . I guess I just made me realize how much I miss being my "old self". Guest guest
Debbie, I've also been "away" for awhile. I'm sorry that your library job was a little too much. I also remember when I worked 40-50 or more hours, took care of 3 kids & a husband, sewed, did crafts, cooked regular, balanced meals, gardened, canned, paid the bills, did the shopping, took my kids to the park, walked the dog, went to ballgames & practices, coached softball & more! Now I look back & marvel! I never appreciated myself back then. Let's give each other a nice pat on the back & a round of applause! Guest guest
Debbie, I know how you feel, I use to work 12hr shifts at the hosp. and come home take care of the house, kids, husband, you know, superwomen type thing. Now I can’t handle much over 4 hours either, 8 hours do me in, I just won’t do anything that causes me to busy for more then 4 hours at a time. However, like all of us we break down now and then, and I’ve agreed to teach a 5 hour class 4 days a week starting next week, man what was I thinking. So if you don’t hear much from me over the next 4 weeks you’ll know why, I just tell myself, I’ll be fine, if I need to I can come home and take a nap. I love these students I’m teaching and another teacher quit and just left them hanging, so I said yes. However, I will take it one day at a time, that way it doesn’t overwhelm meJ Blessings, Marla From: Neurosarcoidosis [mailto:Neurosarcoidosis ] On Behalf Of Debbie Sent: Wednesday, July 26, 2006 3:44 AM To: Neurosarcoidosis ; NSMods Subject: I have been away....
