Guest guest
Thanks Darla, I was just curious. Chelsea has had 2 MRI's, which haven't shown much. Her 1st at 18mos showed gliosis. Her neuro told us it was hyperdensities of the white matter and indicated a benign insult to her CNS (HA!). The neuro at Shriner's said this could indicate white matter disease. Fortunatly it has not gotten worse. I recently looked up gliosis in my med dic and it said gliosis was scarring of the glial (helper cells to the neurons) cells. I was just wondering if any scarring was apparent with the lesser strokes. No one has ever been able to fully explain what this is and what it indicates. e, Chelsea's mom(nonspecific mito)
