Guest guest
We used to thicken Gracies Neocate. It helped with the reflux. I believe we used one tablespoon of rice cereal for every 6 ounces of formula. It really helped with the reflux, but she had a hard time sucking it out of the bottle, we had to make bigger holes. This was done in addition to the Prevacid. I do not know if this will be an option for her because of her poor sucking anyway. Grace has some oral control issues but I do not think they are to the degree you have explained with Zipporrah. As far as the food is concerned, Grace was never able to handle any type of baby food until she was almost 9 months old. Her GI was not concerned because she was getting all her nutrients from the formula. Hopefully you will get some good answers from her swallowing study. Have they suggested putting her on an allergy medication along with her asthma medications? Grace was horrible until they started her on medications for it. Her hair was always full of the gunk and she looked horrible. She was vomiting all the time from everything in her throat. The medications dry her up pretty well, some better than others. But, right now with spring she still is a mess even with medications. Best wishes for your family.
