Actually, I meant to go to the Mt Sinai support group meeting tomorrow. I

was hoping to hear back from Staten Island before then. If they are willing

to do a laparoscopic procedure, I'm there. Otherwise, I'm still trying to

figure out how to have it done that way and have my insurance cover as much

of the cost as possible.

My doctors had not heard of the DS, but they have been nothing but

supportive of my decision. Anyone in Houston, TX., looking for a

WLS-friendly PCP, try the Southampton Medical Group. My doctors there

are Dr Schrader, family practice, & Dr Farinas,

Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism. If you

prefer a female doctor, Dr Kovacs is also in this office, & is

another internist; 4101 Greenbriar, suite 200.. .
