Rose, I think who Kim is talking about is Marla.

-- Re: Chat Rooms & Story Link

Hi Rose,

I AM COMING FORWARD! :) That was me that offered to do the website. However, there was another member who's son (or nephew I think) was interested in doing one and would be able to use it for his portfolio. Of course, I cannot remember who the member was... love this memory loss.

Anyhow, I am still available to do the website or could hand it over to the other member's family member needing an addition to the portfolio.

Keep me posted!

I think we need to just hold our breath & jump in to this chat room business. I'm sure there will be bugs to work out. We have this room 24/7, so those of you who volunteered to host just pick a couple of times, maybe one am & one pm, once or twice a week, announce it to the list & remind us again that day or day before. After a week or two, you can survey the group & see if you need to change times or days. As far as the faith-based chat, we can use the same room or get our own. It seems to me that we could just use the same one. So what do the rest of you think? Let's get this thing started!

Regarding the story link, I can't remember who offered to set up a website for that. Come forth, whoever you are! I can write up a list of questions that members can use as a start, if they want. Photos would be optional; actually, it's all optional. This is just for those of us who tell the story of our sarc journey repeatedly and it would be nice to write it once & new members, or old ones who forget, could hit the link & read.

Hasta la vista, baby!

Kim I do believe it was you that offered to do a step by step directions f0r the MIRC Program, if I may ask you to please do that, maybe we can get that thing rolling, just know we have a few that use the Macintosh system and a few that do web TV. Thank you,

I AM STILL INTERESTED!

Although I have had difficulty downloading and connecting the MIRC I

will not let this discourage me from trying harder.

It is clear that we want this and there are benefits in having this,

so count me in!

I will try again tomorrow to run the program and see how it turns out.

If all goes well, I will post a couple of times for scheduled chats

and monitor the responses, then share them with the group. I will

also contact Marla, my co-chat host to confer on how we can work

together on making this a huge success for all.

I do not know if it is necessary to have two chat rooms. I don't

think one will " contaminate " the other. (Smiling, just kidding). But

the floor is always open for suggestions.

Love ya,

Yes it is my son who does websites, it doesn’t matter

to me if you want to do it Kim. He does some pretty cool stuff, here is

his own website, check it out, and if you use it his site like you would Google

he gets paid whenever someone uses it, which is very cool too. Its http://www.emxpc.net it’s really

cute right now. Let me know what you think, he keeps asking me to share

this with my friends and then give him some feedback, and I keep forgetting, so

let me know what you all think?

Thanks,

Marla

Regarding the story link, I can't remember who offered to set up a website for that. Come forth, whoever you are! I can write up a list of questions that members can use as a start, if they want. Photos would be optional; actually, it's all optional. This is just for those of us who tell the story of our sarc journey repeatedly and it would be nice to write it once & new members, or old ones who forget, could hit the link & read.

Hasta la vista, baby!

Yes it is my son who does websites, it doesn’t matter to me if you want to do it Kim. He does some pretty cool stuff, here is his own website, check it out, and if you use it his site like you would Google he gets paid whenever someone uses it, which is very cool too. Its http://www.emxpc.net it’s really cute right now. Let me know what you think, he keeps asking me to share this with my friends and then give him some feedback, and I keep forgetting, so let me know what you all think?

Thanks,

Marla

Yes Rose that is the right one, he changes the into box, so

there’s always something new to see. Did you click on any of the

other links? He’s done a website for a guy that sales insurance

billing system for prosthetics, does the IT for the website and does monthly

updates. He’s just getting started and has self taught most of what

he knows. (OK so I’m a little proud of him). But it’s

not a problem is you want someone else to do a website either, but you can use

his as a search engine, just like Google, in fact it’s Google that pays

him, figure that out?

Thanks for checking it out Rose,

Marla

I guess it was a little more spectactular than I had expected! We could probably do with something a little simpler. I know the fewer choices I have, the better. Uh, this is a little awkward, but this would be free, right?
