We do not live in Iowa, but have medicaid, We have gotten q10 and

Carnitor covered. The carnitor was the easy one. Just a letter from

our doc did it.The q10 was the difficult one. I resorted to

threatening on this one because they outwardly refused even on

appeal. Finally they agreed. They cover the tishcon qgel. There is

an NDC number (if you look on the bottle it is there) and medicaid

will need it to figure it all out. Our pharmicist then orders it

from epic 4health and we pay nothing on it (compared to $3,000/yr.)

is on a high dose, so it cost us a fortune.

Have you tried going through a pharmacy? Our pharmacy buys CoQ10 from

Tishcon (epicforhealth.com) to fill Emilie's prescription and then bills

Medicaid. It took a lot to get it all figured out (including much help

from another mito family), but it was sure worth it!
